Tooth luxation

Tooth luxation usually leads to loss of vitality because the tiny blood vessels tear at the root tip. The pulpal tissue is no longer supplied with blood and dies. The tooth becomes darker. Loose teeth can be fixed with the help of the adhesive technique if they are splinted for five to six weeks. After prior peptisation, the teeth are glued to the adjacent teeth with composites. In a complete luxation the tooth is fully knocked out of the alveola. These teeth can also fully heal with correct replantation and endodontal therapy.
